On behalf of the Street Health Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Lin Sallay as Street Health’s next Executive Director, effective July 10, 2023.
Following an extensive recruitment process supported by an external executive search team, Street Health’s Recruitment Team and Board of Directors unanimously endorsed Lin as our successful candidate.
Based in Toronto, Lin has dedicated her career to developing and leading quality, accessible healthcare services to support those experiencing homelessness, living in poverty, and/or struggling with mental health and addictions. She has over 18 years of leadership experience that include director positions at COTA and LOFT. Lin has extensive experience as a senior leader in building and maintaining partnerships with community-based organizations, hospitals, and funders. She has delivered street outreach services, and case management programs, organized and administered harm reduction and overdose prevention services, and most recently was responsible for implementing a modular housing project in Toronto. Lin holds a Master of Arts in Education from Central Michigan University and, more recently, completed a Mini-MBA from McGill University. She was also an instructor for 13 years at Humber College, School of Social & Community Services. Lin highly values incorporating strength-based and trauma-informed approaches to support people receiving services.
The Board is very excited to have Lin join Street Health. Her leadership experience and commitment to social justice to improve the health of those experiencing homelessness will serve the organization well in the coming years.
