This fall has been “back to class” time for 20 individuals from 10 Toronto agencies who are participating in the Community Harm Reduction Teams Peer Training Program. Participants will complete 12 weeks of in-depth life skills and harm reduction training, before they return to jobs at their home agencies.
Street Health is proud to be leading this federally-funded project which will monitor the progress of participants for two years.
This project will measure (1) how peer to peer training and support can help those with lived experience move into careers in the field of Harm Reduction and (2) how well peer community workers are able to support the communities where they are located.
